Do not strike with a hammer. Arbor Press Instructions Place evenly cased leather on a sturdy platform beneath the anvil. Position the stamp on the leather and place a flat plate or block on top. Apply steady pressure for 15–20 seconds; check and repeat for deeper impressions. Vise Instructions Sandwich the cased leather and stamp between two flat boards or plates. Clamp securely in a vise for 15–20 seconds. Release, inspect the impression, and repeat if needed. Best Results: Casing Leather Evenly moisten the entire piece with a sponge before pressing to prevent water spots and ensure uniform impressions. A thick scrap of leather or pressing pad on top helps distribute pressure evenly for clean, consistent results. Cleaning & Care Rinse or gently scrub the engraved face after each use, then dry completely before storage. Avoid impact tools to preserve engraving detail.
