This instantly makes your finished items more special and unique. SPECIAL NOTE on Usage These stamps require an arbor press or a sturdy vise for use. You must apply slow, even pressure to the stamp. These WILL NOT withstand hammer blows. Misuse with a hammer voids the product guarantee. Arbor Press Instructions: First, place a piece of cased leather on a solid platform. Put the stamp on top of the cased leather. Next, place another solid platform (metal or wood) on top of the stamp. Then, apply downward pressure with the arbor press. Hold the pressure for 15–20 seconds. Finally, check the result and repeat the process if needed. Vise Instructions: Start by placing cased leather and the stamp between two hard objects. For example, use two small boards. Squeeze tightly so the stamp cannot move. Next, place this assembly inside the vise. Tighten the vise firmly and hold it for 15–20 seconds. After releasing the vise, check the imprint depth. Repeat these steps as necessary for a deeper image. Achieving Perfect Leather Impressions Stamps work best when impressed into cased leather. Cased leather is simply wetted leather. Use a wet sponge to moisten the entire piece of leather evenly. If you don’t wet all the leather, you will get water spots. The images shown are created on a Harbor Freight Arbor Press. A thick piece of leather on top of the stamp helps distribute the pressure evenly.
